Getting to Bribie Island & Around

Bribie Island is located in northern part of Moreton Bay, Queensland Australia, approximately 70km north of Brisbane and 85km south of the Sunshine Coast.

Getting to Bribie Island is easy. The only Queensland island with a bridge, Bribie Island is less than an hours drive north of Queensland's capital city Brisbane, and is less than 45 minutes drive from BrisbaneÕs International and Domestic Airport.

Flying to Brisbane

Brisbane Airport is the third busiest airport in Australia.

The airport has international and domestic passenger terminals. Driving from Brisbane

Take the Gateway Motorway and the six lane Bruce Highway north to Caboolture then take the Bribie Island exit 152 and follow the signs to Bribie Island.

Public Transport

Queensland TransportÕs TransLink service has a integrated ticketing system which will take you to Bribie Island from Brisbane CBD or Brisbane International Airport on participating buses and Queensland Rail.

Bribie Island Transport

Bribie Island has many public transport options. TransLink runs a bus service around Bribie Island and to neighbouring towns including Sandstone Point, Ningi and Caboolture. Drive safely

Kangaroos, koalas and wallabies are more active at dawn, dusk and overnight. If youÕre travelling at these times, take extra care to protect the wildlife. If you do come across something, dip your lights, slow down and enjoy natureÕs show! Be alert during the daytime too. Lizards and goannas love to lie on the warm roads.
